About Color Code Studio

Mari Carmen Fernandez was born in Havana Cuba. Since she was a child she professed a great interest to art related activities: writing, photography and painting; and she won several awards for her abilities with color and form.

In Cuba, she took painting lessons with teacher Juana Obon, and left for Spain in 1972. There, her keen interest for art was fulfilled thru the numerous museums in Europe, thru which she traveled extensively, learning about the different techniques and styles of the Masters and the interesting stories behind their work.

In 1975 she came to the United States and a few years later she founded her artistic painting company, Art Designs, and she is contracted by numerous national firms to do their stores and restaurants throughout the United States. She also later attended for some time to Cuban artist Hector Cata's studio and she perfected her own mixed media technique, incorporating to her canvasses rich, vibrant colors and textures that reflect her temperament and passion.

Now she is ready to show her art pieces at her own website studio, as well as works from other artists.
